The Power of Pele

Hi Friends!!

My what an amazing month it has been! On December 2nd I said my farewells to LA and headed on the plane with my friend Kevin to The Big Island. Sitting on the plane I reflected on the moments that lead me to that point and I sat in gratitude and excitement for my new adventure.

My first day of Kona was filled with yummy food, lots of sunshine, new discoveries, and fresh air!! Kevin and I cruised the coast to South Kona jamming to great tunes in the convertible- so much fun! We arrived to Ahh Paradise and met two of our training buddies Jules & Genevieve
who traveled all the way from Australia!!

Let the adventures begin- Jules,Genevieve,Kevin,& I hopped in the car and got to know each other on the 2 hour ride to Volcano. We stopped along at Point of Refuge & a black sand beach which had the most gorgeous Lilly pond in it's backyard!! We arrived Kilauea Volcano National Park and TuTu Pele ignited our hearts. The four of us gave up fear and hiked to the edge of the lava rock overlooking the ocean to meet TuTu Pele. The moment I looked off in the distance and saw Pele I spun into a spiritual high.

Level One Liberation Breathing was a great success! I uncovered, discovered, and discarded lots of things in the training!! My training buddies were a lot of fun and I learned something special from each one of them. Many thanks to Sondra Ray & Mark Sullivan for their time and dedication to bring breathwork all around the world. If anyone is interested in a complimentary session, let me know!!

After spending a beautiful week in Kona, I hopped islands to Maui. I took the shuttle to Naplil Kai where I spent a week at the Ram Dass- Open Your Hearts In Paradise retreat. I got to be of service, meet some new satsang family, attend yoga with Saul David Raye, meditation with Therese Fitzgerald, kirtan every night with Krishna Dass, and received darshan and had lunch with Ram Dass. It was truly a week in paradise!!

Australia has been added to my travel list, can't wait to connect with Laura, Jules, and Marcus again.

I have now arrived in Missouri where I will spend the Holidays with my family and prepare for a trip to India in March. If you interested in going to India, check out Sondra's web page.

Thank You Pele for inviting me to Hawaii and leading me on a magical adventure!!

So much love & blessings to you all!!

Rooted In Gratitude

Good Evening Beautiful Spirits!!

Tonight I choose to be Rooted In Gratitude, the flow is unbelievable!! I am blessed with an abundance of love, guidance, and support all around me. I have struggled over the past two weeks with fears, but when I stop and meditate on my surroundings...I am reconnected with my root of gratitude.

A special thank you and warm embrace to all of you who have loved me unconditionally through this journey. I have received many emails, text, and calls from people cheering me a long the way....it touches my heart and soul and truly leaves me in an intense state of gratitude.

I encourage you all to root yourself deeply in gratitude and affirm it in your life everyday! When we flow and practice gratitude and service, the roots get stronger and stronger. There is no discomfort or dis-ease in gratitude, there is only love, life, and pure bliss.

I extend my gratitude to all of you for being a light force and channel for the Divine!

So Much Love To You All,

Erin

Everything Borrowed!

Hi!

I apologize for the gap between now & my last post, as I having been going through a transition period.

Tonight I attended my very first Bikram Yoga class, hard to believe that I had never sought such a powerful outlet before. I wanted to practice my yoga skills, so I didn't embarrass myself too much in front of Saul David Ray in December. I am looking forward to interacting more with my body and breath. I felt that my bod was saying "it is about time" during the yoga class...it was a very powerful release and with that came an intense sense of peace.

The lesson I believe that has been showing up in all aspects of my life is simply this: Nothing belongs to us, it is all borrowed from the Universe! Over the past few weeks I have gotten the opportunity to be stretched and stripped of all that I once thought was mine. Truth is nothing belongs to me and I must treat everything as a precious gift from the Universe.

It all started when I stated to the Universe that I was willing to sacrifice it all to serve humanity. Be careful what you request from the Universe and be sure you are fully prepared when asking for such a powerful lesson.

I have taken a huge leap of faith and I will share that I have been getting into fear lately. At the moment I have few material items and ownership of things that brings me comfort. In fact I have been removed of so much, that I am beginning to feel a since of loss. The loss may not feel good, but I am entering into a process which will slowly show me what serving humanity is really about.

Hawaii is coming up in just four short weeks and every part of my being is excited for the new adventure!

Let the love and abundance of the Universe flow through every cell of your body!!

Peace & Love!

Namaste!

Faith vs Fear

Tonight the page in A Course In Miracles reads...

"Put all your faith in it, and God himself will answer you."

This messages is very appropriate for me this evening, as I take a leap towards my passion.

My bags are packed and I'm ready to go......reminds you of a song huh?.....Well, packing didn't come so natural this time around. I found myself procrastinating....even watching TV on my computer...which is very unusual for me! Then it dawned on me that I am packing up to be a world traveler and well it is perfectly normal for my human emotions to be fearful/nervous/and anxious. The good news: The excitement overpowers all of those not so comfortable feelings!!

Tonight the candles are lit and sweet incense is burning as I dedicate these moments in gratitude for having such a wonderful place to call my home for the past 14 months. The Divine Mother Picture of Amma seems to have a special glow....even she is excited for our new adventure!

I'd like to share a spiritual experience I had a few nights ago. I was winding down and treated myself to a bubble bath.....water is very healing and powerful for me! I was playing Deva Premal in the background and had the realization that my sweet soul connection with Coop who has since passed, was so Divinely beautiful because it was like spending that time with God. I believe we are all God and Coop was a channel for me to open my heart and love everyone. I began crying tears of sadness and ultimate joy ( yes it is a strange mixture to experience) when I accepted that Coop came to my life to shed that ray of light and it was time for her to move forward.

The journey has begun my friends.....don't fall asleep and miss it!

Love & Peace,

Erin

A Wrong Turn...Is Simply A New Adventure!

Good Evening Everyone....

Tonight I am blogging from Fairfield, California....My friend Jim and I headed for Northern California this evening....except we headed south-east..... Yes, we made a wrong turn and went quite a ways off the planned course. At that point I could have become upset or frustrated, but I just took it as an opportunity to see more and experience a new adventure. We as human's spend so much time planning every minute of life, that when things go differently as often times they do, a state of anger/frustration/and negative energy take over the body. We go into Ego instantly and the spirit is forgotten.

From my own experiences, I have discovered that when one bad thing happens and we dwell on it, we are unconsciously inviting more negative things to occur. This then begins a cycle of negative energy and I feel it is important to awake to the inner spirit and try our best to take every moment as a new and fun adventure. After all where is everyone in such a hurry to go anyways?

I sit here writing in a state of gratitude for the opportunities of growth and experiences that I have been blessed with. I know this trip is the beginning to my travels and I feel a tremendous amount of inner peace as I have faith that each moment will unfold exactly the way it is supposed to be. I encourage you to look around and feel the peace on the idea that everything is in it's perfect place- even the dent on your car.

I am grateful Jim asked me along on this trip and for our wonderful hostess Phyllis. She is quite the personality and she gets around very well for her physical age of 86. I was honored to be of service and help her clean up the dishes after super and I look forward to another visit with her tomorrow!

There is Divine Beauty everywhere and in everything.....we just have to awaken our hearts!

Peace & Love,

Erin

Desire With No Attachment To The Outcome

Today I got a glimpse of awareness on physical, emotional, and mental attachment to material items. I got to be of service and help a dear friend of mine clean out her garage and my, us humans can sure collect & hold on to so much! I instantly began to think of all the people in the world and how many material items each person is probably holding on to......the numbers seems infinite!

Then I proceeded to think of all the people without clothes, furniture, recreational items, ect. We seem to feel bad or pitty the people without, but why is that? Why do we feel sad for the one's that have less attachment to these material items? I say feel sad for the rest of the world that "must have" this or that!

I was in Lowe's and Walmart today and got to observe people all around the store glowing at each material item they came in contact with. Can you imagine if they became aware that everything they see is really not as they see it. We are all energy and have given power and meaning to everything that we have come in contact with. Yes, as humans we are very powerful creatures!

Ofcourse it is a wonderful feeling to desire something and have it manifest in front of you, even in seconds! We can feel the joy of having that item and be in a state of ultimate gratitude! I believe it is important to remember everything we have acquired on this Universe has been granted to us on loan. After all, everything is all of the same- we are just a piece of the greater Whole!

I will be traveling to Hawaii in a few months and my goal is to take two maybe three bags with clothes and books and donate the rest of my stuff. I have experienced being with out items I thought I "needed" for well over 2 years and I am here to tell you that I lived and did just fine without it all! Once I cleared the emotion and mental attachment to those items, I felt free and ever better then I felt with all that "stuff".

Alice Bailey and the Tibetan master Djwhal Khul in Serving Humanity, put it so lightly "Sooner or later the soul arrives at the realization of the futility of material ambition. This could take eons of lifetimes. But when the soul arrives at this point, a high state of integration is marked and there is a huge shift of consciousness. The soul then longs to function as part of the greater Whole." I recommend you meditate on this section as it is very powerful and will change you completely.

Well the Universe would like me to wrap this up......so lastly I leave you with this beautiful quote:

"By performing action without attachment man reaches the supreme" -Bhagavad Gita

Peace & Love,

Erin

Follow The Yellow Brick Road

I am in the Wizard of Oz spirit this evening, after attending the 70th anniversary HD release on the big screen last night. Thank you Anna & Amanda for going and even singing along with me! A good friend of mine is a hospice nurse and said she often feels like death is a lot like Wizard of Oz, as we travel on our journey to Oz to meet the Wizard. I love this perspective and it sure shed a new light for me while watching the movie.

I believe everything is in it's perfect place, and find it comforting that I am traveling a yellow brick road like Dorothy, that will lead to Oz. Dorothy came from Kansas and I started my journey in Missouri, and we both brought our little dogs too! I love to dance to the beat of my own drum, sing out loud, skip, smile, and so one might say my world is a lot like Munchkin Land!

As you may recall, Dorothy tapped her shoes at the end and believed 'there is no place like home' and it returned her home. She had the power all along and through a process of acceptance she discovers she can be and do whatever she wants.

I am very excited for my new adventure and I will continue to allow the flow of the Universe to guide me along the way. I will be heading to Hawaii December 3rd for 2 weeks and then traveling to St.Louis to spend the Holiday's with the family. I look forward to sharing my adventure with all of you as I take it one day at a time!

Peace & Love to you all!
