Discovering Self

I grew up very needy for everything outside of me, continuously trying to stick a square peg inside a round whole. Always going around looking for "that" or "this" to guide me towards a sense of Self. It was as if someone was walking around with my missing puzzle piece and I was incomplete until it was recovered.

I close my eyes in this moment and let the sense of Self that is gently tapping at my heart flow to every cell in my body...sending mysteriously familiar goosebumps to my surface. In this moment I recognize that everything that I seek outside of myself can only be discovered within. It is when I am still and guided within that I feel ultimate belonging and infinite bliss.

These moments come to me in Puja, meditation, writing, Kirtan, and spiritual practices. When I do these activities that I am passionate about, I am aligning myself with the love and true infinite self that resides within my heart. What a beautiful feeling and how I would love for it to last, yet the ache of the pureness of this joy and love become overwhelming. As, a teacher once spoke to me "You are spirit and spirit can sustain anything". I guess that one hasn't sunk in yet!

Do you have these moments of pure bliss and love? Ya know where your heart aches oneness, your body tingles with stillness, awareness quiets your mind, and love is all you know. These are the moments that make you want to sing at the top of your lungs, dance like no one is watching, skip with a child like innocence, and smile as if the world depends on it.

NOW is the only time...live your passion...follow your bliss....and fall in love with everything!

With all my Love,

Erin

Let Your Heart Break Open..

Hi Beautiful Blessings...

Yes too long since I have written...and though I think of this blog and you often...I have been pretty reluctant to writing. Tonight in my meditation something sparked my heart and I knew it was time to resume the blog.

Speaking of hearts...I am currently reflecting on the expression "Let Your Heart Break Open"...

I sat at my alter tonight in tears of gratitude for all that is and has ever been. I got a brief slideshow of my past three years on this journey and all the times I have sat at my alter in various states of being. I have found myself in tears during meditation in the past three months, more then ever before. Frightened and fearful of this in the beginning, I have now come to accept that it is just my heart breaking open.

With every tear I allow my ego to dissolve and allow the flow of love and awareness to open me up. I do my best to surrender all of my fears and emotions in that moment and trust that spirit will infect me with the bliss. I don't quite understand all of the heartbreak that has occurred on a conscious level, but when I close my eyes and turn within...I am overcome with the most powerful feeling of complete understanding. It is a knowing in the heart, that everything leading up to this very moment has been in perfect Divine order.

Nothing could ever change how much I love you....unconditionally...forever and ever!

Rooted In Gratitude

Good Evening Beautiful Spirits!!

Tonight I choose to be Rooted In Gratitude, the flow is unbelievable!! I am blessed with an abundance of love, guidance, and support all around me. I have struggled over the past two weeks with fears, but when I stop and meditate on my surroundings...I am reconnected with my root of gratitude.

A special thank you and warm embrace to all of you who have loved me unconditionally through this journey. I have received many emails, text, and calls from people cheering me a long the way....it touches my heart and soul and truly leaves me in an intense state of gratitude.

I encourage you all to root yourself deeply in gratitude and affirm it in your life everyday! When we flow and practice gratitude and service, the roots get stronger and stronger. There is no discomfort or dis-ease in gratitude, there is only love, life, and pure bliss.

I extend my gratitude to all of you for being a light force and channel for the Divine!

So Much Love To You All,

Erin

A Wrong Turn...Is Simply A New Adventure!

Good Evening Everyone....

Tonight I am blogging from Fairfield, California....My friend Jim and I headed for Northern California this evening....except we headed south-east..... Yes, we made a wrong turn and went quite a ways off the planned course. At that point I could have become upset or frustrated, but I just took it as an opportunity to see more and experience a new adventure. We as human's spend so much time planning every minute of life, that when things go differently as often times they do, a state of anger/frustration/and negative energy take over the body. We go into Ego instantly and the spirit is forgotten.

From my own experiences, I have discovered that when one bad thing happens and we dwell on it, we are unconsciously inviting more negative things to occur. This then begins a cycle of negative energy and I feel it is important to awake to the inner spirit and try our best to take every moment as a new and fun adventure. After all where is everyone in such a hurry to go anyways?

I sit here writing in a state of gratitude for the opportunities of growth and experiences that I have been blessed with. I know this trip is the beginning to my travels and I feel a tremendous amount of inner peace as I have faith that each moment will unfold exactly the way it is supposed to be. I encourage you to look around and feel the peace on the idea that everything is in it's perfect place- even the dent on your car.

I am grateful Jim asked me along on this trip and for our wonderful hostess Phyllis. She is quite the personality and she gets around very well for her physical age of 86. I was honored to be of service and help her clean up the dishes after super and I look forward to another visit with her tomorrow!

There is Divine Beauty everywhere and in everything.....we just have to awaken our hearts!

Peace & Love,

Erin

Follow The Yellow Brick Road

I am in the Wizard of Oz spirit this evening, after attending the 70th anniversary HD release on the big screen last night. Thank you Anna & Amanda for going and even singing along with me! A good friend of mine is a hospice nurse and said she often feels like death is a lot like Wizard of Oz, as we travel on our journey to Oz to meet the Wizard. I love this perspective and it sure shed a new light for me while watching the movie.

I believe everything is in it's perfect place, and find it comforting that I am traveling a yellow brick road like Dorothy, that will lead to Oz. Dorothy came from Kansas and I started my journey in Missouri, and we both brought our little dogs too! I love to dance to the beat of my own drum, sing out loud, skip, smile, and so one might say my world is a lot like Munchkin Land!

As you may recall, Dorothy tapped her shoes at the end and believed 'there is no place like home' and it returned her home. She had the power all along and through a process of acceptance she discovers she can be and do whatever she wants.

I am very excited for my new adventure and I will continue to allow the flow of the Universe to guide me along the way. I will be heading to Hawaii December 3rd for 2 weeks and then traveling to St.Louis to spend the Holiday's with the family. I look forward to sharing my adventure with all of you as I take it one day at a time!

Peace & Love to you all!
